We are currently looking for Visual Arts Instructors to lead programs for adults and children in various art mediums.

About the Role

You will plan and instruct art classes for adults and children, working in a creative environment that utilizes your leadership and people skills. You will develop and implement lesson plans, maintaining a safe environment that encourages students to explore their interest in art.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver art classes for adults and children
  • Plan and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse skill levels
  • Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Build rapport with students, parents, and staff
  • Be flexible in a dynamic environment

Requirements

  • Master's degree or diploma in Visual Arts or 2 years of Visual Arts education and related experience
  • Previous teaching experience is an asset
  • Current Standard First Aid certificate and HIGH FIVE: Principles of Healthy Child Development training
  • Police Information Check

Compensation and Benefits

$24 - $26/hour based on training and experience. Hours may vary, and instructors should be prepared to work days, evenings, and/or weekends at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location.
