At Heartland Transport Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the condition of the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, often away from home for extended periods. You will be required to sit for long periods and handle heavy loads.
