Job Title: Drywall Taper

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at Prizma Drywall Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth surface. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth surface
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying work sites and locations. The role requires the ability to work at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions, and for extended periods.

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads
  • Reliability and ability to work as part of a team
Language:

The primary language of work is English.Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 35 to 40 hours per week.
