Job Title: Drywall Taper

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at Prizma Drywall Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth finish. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. The role requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to work at heights and in dusty conditions is essential.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in drywall finishing
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work at heights and in dusty conditions
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Reliability and teamwork skills
