Main Duties and Responsibilities

The I&C Program Lead is a senior member of our engineering leadership team, responsible for providing guidance and coaching to the program team. The key duties of this role include:

  • Leading a team of I&C Engineers and Specialists on sustainable programs or multiple projects.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to intermediate and junior engineers.
  • Reviewing client scope documents, seeking clarifications on I&C scope, and providing detailed I&C man-hour estimations for proposals.
  • Coordinating with the Project Management team to ensure I&C activities align with the project schedule and client expectations.
  • Reviewing and checking I&C deliverables, including datasheets, sizing calculations, MR packages, and control drawings.
  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for I&C bids and proposal work.
  • Providing I&C inputs to the detailed scope of work, design basis documents, and project execution plans.
  • Representing the I&C team to the client and ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Steering review sessions for I&C deliverables with project stakeholders, including client operations and project teams.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Ten (10) years or more of experience in Instrumentation and Controls in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • A minimum of CET or P.Eng. (preferred).
  • Leadership experience in Instrumentation and Controls, demonstrated in past projects.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to coordinate I&C work with multi-disciplinary teams, including Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, and CAD support.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Capability of providing engineering estimates.
  • Ability to work within a diverse team environment.
