Nail Salon Supervisor Job Description

NAILS FOR YOU UPPER CANADA MALL is seeking a skilled and organized Nail Salon Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nail salon, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Work: Manage the salon's schedule, ensuring that all staff are properly assigned and that the salon is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Monitor Quality and Production Levels: Oversee the quality of nail services provided to customers, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
  • Oversee Cleaning of Specialty and Difficult Items: Ensure that all equipment and tools are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Source and purchase necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for the salon.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot any issues that may arise and provide guidance to staff to improve productivity and quality.
  • Supervise, Co-ordinate and Schedule (and Possibly Review) Activities of Workers: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train Staff/Workers in Job Duties, Safety Procedures and Company Policies: Provide training to staff on their job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking; standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, reliability, team player.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Veterans: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
  • Employment Type: Permanent.
  • Language of Work: English.
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.
