Job Title: LAN Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled LAN Technician to join our team at SURESTAY PLUS BY BEST WESTERN BROOKS. As a LAN Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks, wide area networks, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
  • Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts
  • Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines
  • Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
  • Provide technical and professional advice
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in LAN administration and maintenance
  • Equivalent experience in a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to work in a physically demanding environment
