Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas Supply Acquisition Manager to join our team at Enbridge. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the procurement of natural gas, transportation, and storage services for our 3.9 million customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Gas Supply Acquisition Team: Build and motivate a high-performing team focused on delivering results.
  • Provide Strategic Leadership: Make prudent decisions on commodity, transportation, and storage service purchases in accordance with company and public policies.
  • Regulatory Affairs: Oversee the development of regulatory positions, evidence, and testify on gas supply matters at various regulatory bodies.
  • Natural Gas Industry Relationships: Develop and maintain key relationships with suppliers, pipelines, storage providers, and consultants.
  • Market Knowledge and Collaboration: Collaborate with key partners to share market knowledge and understand asset utilization to strategically lead gas supply procurement.
  • Negotiation and Influence: Engage and negotiate with natural gas market participants and industry partners to influence favorable outcomes.
  • Cost Recovery and Support: Responsible for understanding and speaking to the prudence of gas supply portfolio costs, including recovery of these costs through rates and deferral accounts.
  • Regulatory, Commercial, and Market Matters: Support various regulatory, commercial, and natural gas market matters.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A university degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and related experience.
  • Progressive Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive related experience in the energy industry.
  • Leadership and People Development: Outstanding leadership and people development skills.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Demonstrated communication and relationship building skills.
  • Business Acumen: Eye for business including negotiation skills.
  • Leadership and Values: Confirmed leadership in demonstrating Enbridge's core values of safety, integrity, respect, inclusion, and high performance.
Working Conditions
  • Office Environment: Normal office working conditions with overtime during peak periods.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel required up to 25%.
  • After-Hours Calls: This role requires response to after-hours calls as required.
  • Stress Levels: Stress levels can be above normal as the work is highly visible and requires handling numerous interests concurrently.
