We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Dykstra Financial Management Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with a strong understanding of financial records and ledgers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in Caseware/Caseview, Quick Books, Simply Accounting, TaxPrep, and Sage Accounting Software
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
