Job Title: Bookkeeper

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Dykstra Financial Management Inc. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Caseware/Caseview, Quick Books, Simply Accounting, TaxPrep, Sage Accounting Software
  • Accurate, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Organized
  • 1 year to less than 2 years
