Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products throughout our warehouse and distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking, packing, and shipping customer orders with accuracy and efficiency
  • Receiving and verifying incoming vendor shipments and customer returns
  • Loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and yard environment
  • Communicating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless operations
  • Performing other tasks as required to support the team

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience; construction experience an asset
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
  • Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with inventory management software, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre
