Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Payroll Specialist to join our team at OpenText. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll for our Canadian employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll tasks for Canadian employees, including data input, audits, and reporting.
  • Assist with payroll system updates and implementations to ensure scalability with company growth.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify and reconcile payroll information to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including government filings and remittances.
  • Administer Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) and Stock Options as related to payroll.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to payroll stakeholders, including employees, HR, Finance, and other payroll team members.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in Canadian Payroll, preferably with an international company with multiple legal entities.
  • Experience with outsourced payroll packages, such as ADP Globalview, and SAP SuccessFactors HCM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to confidentiality and compliance.
