This position requires relocation to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where you will join a leading energy company in the exploration, production, transportation, and sale of crude oil and natural gas.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise in coating and welding, including testing and issuing technical reports.
- Offer technical consultations to various teams, including Shops, Operating Repair Units, and Contractor Shops.
- Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment to reduce costs and improve processes.
- Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment.
- Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Introduce and apply the latest technology in coating and welding methodologies.
- Develop and revise technical procedures and standards.
- Mentor and share knowledge with junior engineers, quality inspectors, and technicians.
- Provide technical input for purchasing specifications and evaluate technical proposals.
- Collaborate with department engineers, Consulting Services Department, and other company departments.
- Coordinate with In-House Repair Units, Quality Assurance units, In-Kingdom Contractors, and vendors for shop repair work scopes.
- Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Welding Engineering.
- At least 15 years of hands-on experience in thermal coating and welding.
- Proven experience in thermal coating, laser cladding, and welding.
- Experience with rotating equipment in an original equipment manufacturing facility or a certified repairing facility.
- Welding certification from AWS or an equivalent organization.
- Excellent English reading and writing skills.
