Job Title: Senior Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to lead the design, development, and integration of critical digital products for the House of Commons Digital Services and Real Property team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical design and architectural discussions to ensure alignment with approved plans and utilization of emerging technologies.
  • Mentor developers, provide guidance, and maintain quality standards.
  • Develop components and interfaces, and lead Agile teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team is equipped to deliver innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a Developer role investigating, analyzing, and supporting complex digital products.
  • Hands-on experience with Object Oriented Programming languages and Design Patterns such as C#, VB.NET, Java or equivalent programming languages.
  • 3+ years leading technical design and architectural discussions.
  • 3+ years experience working in Agile methodology, leading scrum ceremonies and involvement in prioritization of Product backlog.
  • 3+ years experience leading, planning, and conducting complex projects related to product development.
