Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Reporting, Analytics, and other engineering teams to build data pipelines, infrastructure, and tooling to support business initiatives
  • Design and maintain data pipelines, contributing to the continual enhancement of the data engineering architecture
  • Work with the team to meet performance, scalability, and reliability goals
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes and tooling
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks, investigating their potential value to the team
  • Maintain and expand existing systems, tooling, and infrastructure
  • Lead streaming pipeline projects that ingest near-real-time data
  • Take ownership of projects, plan, and collaborate with other members of the Analytics and Reporting teams or others within the company
Requirements
  • Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, distributed systems, algorithms, and software design
  • 5+ years of experience in data or software engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Python or Java programming languages
  • Relational database expertise and SQL proficiency
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization
  • Knowledge of streaming technologies like Kafka, Spark, Flink, and Beam
  • Experience building scalable infrastructure for a growing organization
  • Proficiency with BigQuery, Redshift, or other SQL-based data warehouses
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Testing framework familiarity (e.g., Pytest, PyUnit, Junit, Mockito)
  • RESTful API development skills
  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication abilities
