About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Surveyor to join our team at True Mechanical. As a Mechanical Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects by providing accurate and efficient surveying services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys and layout work for new construction projects
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
  • Develop and implement surveying plans and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage and mentor junior surveyors and apprentices
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, trades, and sub-trades to ensure smooth project execution
  • Travel within the lower mainland to conduct site surveys and layout work
  • Assist with internal or parkade layout as required
  • Manage on-site logistics, materials, and pre-fab for layout and deck work
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of surveying or total station layout experience pertinent to new construction
  • Certification in surveying – piping – fitting or structural trades is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of drawings and specifications for Mechanical, Architectural, Structural with the ability to coordinate with other disciplines
  • Ability to manage, mentor, and supervise 1st/2nd/3rd/4th year apprentices if required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to travel within the lower mainland
