Job Summary:

The Healthcare Coordinator will be a member of the health care team and is responsible for coordinating communication in and out of the service, keeping of patient's health records including transcriptions of orders, and other clerical functions which enhance the operation of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating communication in and out of the service
  • Keeping of patient's health records
  • Transcribing orders
  • Performing other clerical functions

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • One year previous Ward Clerk experience in an acute care in-patient hospital setting
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience in electronic patient records
  • Proficient with the use of computer (Microsoft Office, Groupwise, etc)
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and in a busy team environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Salary Range: $26.588 to 27.221
