Job Summary:

Company 3 / Method Studios is seeking a skilled Compositor to join our VFX department. As a Compositor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality visual effects for our projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Challenging shots with attention to detail and a sense of color, colorspace, and lighting.
  • Seamlessly integrating various layers or elements of a live-action shot.
  • Tackling shots from start to finish, including roto, tracking, paint, animation, and creation of elements.
  • Matte extractions from blue/green screen photography.
  • Compositing Multi-Pass CG Elements to create photo-real shots.
  • Clean and efficient script organization.
  • Communicating progress of work to Coordinator and Producer in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a compositor in episodic, commercial, or feature VFX.
  • Must be experienced in tracking and blue/green screens comps.
  • Proficient in Nuke, Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of 3D particle systems, Fusion, and AfterEffects is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take criticism, and work under high pressure with short deadlines.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with Shotgun software preferred.
