Lead Estimator

The Senior Civil Estimator plays a key role in supporting Pacific Bids & Estimates and helping develop price proposals for construction projects. This includes managing bid document organization, preparing take-offs, researching information, and reviewing tender documents.
Responsibilities- Determine scope of work and required contents of estimates by reviewing tender documents and attending pre-bid meetings.
- Manage quantity surveys and take-offs as needed to ensure accurate estimating duties.
- Analyze and evaluate bids from subcontractors for completeness and accuracy in scope of work.
- Develop scope of work for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Solicit pricing from subcontractor/vendors.
- Create initial construction schedules and cash flow forecasts.
This is a full-time office position with occasional weekend or night work and possible exposure to outdoor construction sites. A strong understanding of contract documents and proficiency in common business and estimating applications such as Microsoft Office products are essential.
Requirements- High School graduation plus post-secondary training in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in reviewing contract documents.
- Familiarity with software like Hard Dollar, Explorer, or JD Edwards.
