Air Canada is a leading airline in North America, and we're seeking a highly skilled Digital Solutions Architect to join our team. This role will be based in Canada, and the salary range for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive and support the evolution of IT solutions within our organization, while satisfying the needs of agility, strategic business growth, and development of strategic insights that can help make effective decisions.

As a Solution Architect at Air Canada, you will play an integral role in the solution definition and assume overall responsibility for all technical aspects of solution delivery, from inception through design to implementation.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Translate Business Requirements into Technical Solutions: You will translate business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints to achieve business objectives and document all solution architecture design and analysis work.
  • Design and Implement Complex Multi-Tier Solutions: Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex multi-tier / multi-cloud solutions.
  • Present and Socialize Proposed Solutions: Present and socialize proposed solutions to the solution review board (SRB) during review sessions as well as articulate and communicate designs to audiences with limited technical expertise related to the selected technology.
  • Support Delivery of Solutions: Support the delivery of the solution by providing insights to project managers that plan and execute delivery activities.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, and at least 10 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years as a solution architect. Experience in eCommerce architecture, Event Driven Architecture, complex multitier architecture, and SOA is also required.

We are looking for a candidate who has strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and is able to multi-task and work under pressure against tight deadlines and changing priorities. Bilingualism (English, French) is an asset, and flexibility and willingness to work extended hours when required are also essential.
