Laundry Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Helper to join our team at Super 8 by Wyndham. As a Laundry Helper, you will be responsible for operating dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines to ensure high-quality cleaning and pressing of hotel linens and guest clothing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines to clean and press hotel linens and guest clothing.
  • Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles to ensure they are properly prepared for guests.
  • Hand iron laundered fine linens or dry-cleaned silk garments to ensure they are crisp and wrinkle-free.
  • Operate finishing equipment such as steam pressers and hand irons to finish pants, jackets, shirts, skirts, and other dry cleaned and laundered articles.
  • Assemble and bag finished articles to ensure they are ready for guests.
  • Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure they meet establishment standards.
  • Record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy laundry equipment and supplies.

Language:

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.

Hours of Work:

This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 30 to 44 hours per week.
