Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Financial Advisors, Investment and Retirement will oversee a team of Financial Advisors Investment & Retirement specialists (FAIRs) for an assigned market. This role requires strategic partnership with Canadian Banking regional leadership and Wealth Management to increase financial planning results, support recruitment and retention of specialist advisors, and create practice management strategies to deliver business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach the team of FAIRs to increase financial planning results and support recruitment and retention of specialist advisors.
  • Create practice management strategies to deliver business results and support national project management.
  • Establish standards and expectations for key activities, including financial plans, proactive/reactive contact, and SIS updating.
  • Lead business development strategies, including market/client segmentation and planning.
  • Deliver coaching and training to elevate FAIR knowledge and performance.
  • Recruit and retain FAIRs in partnership with Branch Managers and other key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or related field.
  • Mutual Fund License, Financial Planning Designation (IQPF).
  • 5+ years of experience in the investment industry, with strong Advice+ knowledge.
  • Expert sales management skills and advanced knowledge of sales techniques and prospecting.
  • Proven networking and client acquisition skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Strong knowledge of competitive and proprietary offerings, market trends, and economic conditions.
