About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at VIP DUTTS SPICE CIRCLE EAST INDIAN RESTAURANT INC. as a key member of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan and execute menus that showcase our restaurant's unique East Indian cuisine, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet our customers' expectations.
  • Chef Supervision: Supervise and train a team of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to maintain the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations and high-quality food products.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service: Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, such as banquets, and ensure that all dishes meet our customers' dietary requirements and preferences.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Language: Proficiency in Hindi is an asset.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in a formal dining room, restaurant, or similar setting.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Knowledge of South Indian, East Indian, vegetarian, and gluten-free cuisine is an asset.
  • Food Specialties: Experience with cereals, grains, and pulses, eggs and dairy, fish and seafood, meat, poultry, and game, and vegetables, fruits, nuts, and mushrooms.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and combine sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organization, and teamwork are essential for this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
