Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team at Appenzell Construction Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction of residential and commercial projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs for construction projects, using measuring tools and software
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other carpenters and tradespeople on site
  • Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and project management, to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure that their needs are met and that projects are delivered to their satisfaction
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting, bending, and working at heights
