Cabinetmaker Job Description

S&A Crafts is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team in a custom cabinet shop environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and experience in supervising other workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Supervise other workers and estimate costs and materials
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a custom cabinet shop
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling
