Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Emissions Technician to join our team at Montrose Environmental Group. As an Emissions Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform day-to-day inspections of components in the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Program
  • Maintain and care of monitoring equipment and overall maintenance of the LDAR inventory
  • Participate in the safety culture and use of Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) cameras to detect emissions
  • Complete comprehensive Job Safety Analysis at job sites and maintain required PPE
  • Assist in coordinating and navigating to various facilities with maps and GPS
  • Perform and document calibration of monitoring instruments as required
  • Receive handheld devices and ensure information is accurate
  • Comply with all permit and sign-in procedures for sites
  • Perform and document field inspections accurately, safely, and efficiently
  • Document on leak tags completely and accurately for all leaks found
  • Document and report any tag maintenance and inventory discrepancies found in the field
  • Document Management of Change and assist to maintain the accuracy of field inventories
  • Perform and document drift assessments, where applicable
  • Ensure job sites are clean and free of materials
  • Participate in training for career development, safety, and maintaining required certifications
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Process, Chemical, and Instrumentation) from an accredited college or university
  • Knowledge and experience with LDAR-related hardware and tools is considered an asset
  • 1+ years in the Oil & Gas industry experience is preferred
  • Experience with Workday and LDAR database software programs is beneficial
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean abstract
  • First Aid, CPR, H2S Alive, TDG, WHIMS are considered an asset
  • Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work from heights
  • Ability/willingness to travel across all provinces as well as the US
