In this role within our Software Engineering Group, you will engage with globally distributed teams, including business representatives, analysts, architects, and engineers to strategize, design, develop, test, and implement innovative solutions. We foster a culture that challenges the status quo and continually seeks to streamline processes, technology, and workflows.

As a Guidewire ClaimCenter Solutions Architect, your primary responsibility will be to lead the design and execution of Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions across our organization. You will be instrumental in advancing our claims transformation initiatives, ensuring that we leverage Guidewire's capabilities to optimize claims processing efficiency, minimize costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

This position reports to the AVP - Software Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop architectural diagrams and design documentation.
  • Write programs and configure, package, and deploy software solutions.
  • Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Lead a team of developers and analysts in the ongoing development and maintenance of the Guidewire ClaimCenter application.
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Design and implement ClaimCenter configurations and integrations with external systems.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in code development, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage the technical aspects of ClaimCenter upgrades and patches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues promptly.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve functionality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 5 years of proven experience in Guidewire Application Development.
  • Proficiency in GOSU Language, configuration, and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and predefined plugins.
  • Ability to read code in various languages and reverse engineer products.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, including tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Domain expertise in Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • Guidewire Certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Guidewire development.
  • Extensive experience coding RESTful APIs.
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, and Python.
  • Strong background in relational databases and SQL, with a preference for MS SQL Server & Transact SQL.
  • Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.
  • Experience in creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON.
  • In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.
