The IT Support Specialist role at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts involves providing front-line support to our hotels' technology needs. This includes responding to requests from our hotels through phone, chat, and email. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows-based PCs, knowledge of computer networks and TCP/IP standards, and good oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities include using analytic and troubleshooting skills to find solutions to technology-based problems, working with our hotels through various sources, and assisting properties with revenue reporting and property management system accounting.
In this role, you will be part of the Hotel Technology Client Support Team (HTCS), which provides 24/7 real-time IT support to all Wyndham hotel brands, making over 400,000 contacts a year. You will be responsible for working with our hotels primarily through phone, chat, and email.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Windows-based PCs
- Knowledge of computer networks and TCP/IP standards
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial knowledge
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Two years' experience working on or with computer hardware, computer software, and/or computer networks
- One year post-secondary education in computer science, or two years in another field is considered an asset
- One year experience in a customer service position
- Experience in the hospitality field is an asset
