We are looking for a skilled Financial Support Specialist to assist our clients with various accounting functions in Saint John, New Brunswick.

As a Financial Support Specialist, you will maintain financial data, process invoices, reconcile accounts, and support the overall accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and strong attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and particularly Excel.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Assist with monthly and yearly reconciliations of accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Assist with payroll processing and filing.
  • Maintain and update accounting files and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory accounting standards.
  • Provide support for day-to-day administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma is required; post-secondary education in accounting, business, or a related field is an asset.
  • No prior accounting experience required, though any exposure to bookkeeping or accounting is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
