Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating procurement activities related to production needs, providing operations support, and working closely with the engineering team. The Buyer will also be responsible for inventory management, material tracking, and negotiating agreements with suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement activities related to production needs
  • Provide operations support and work closely with the engineering team
  • Manage inventory levels of materials and production supplies
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers and ensure timely delivery
  • Participate in the negotiation and compliance of annual agreements with suppliers
  • Assist planning, quality, engineering, payables, and other teams to solve vendor issues
  • Seek opportunities for cost reduction and inventory control
  • Participate in various projects aimed at improving processes related to the supply chain

Requirements and Qualifications

  • DEC in administration, logistics, supply chain management, and/or a combination of equivalent training and experience
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in purchasing electronic components and equipment
  • Demonstrated expertise in ERP
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to interact with employees of all departments
  • Leadership and strong ability to manage priorities
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
