Job Opportunity: Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream

The Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time teaching stream position in the areas of Pharmacy, Program Evaluation, and Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacy Education/Practice.

About the Position

We seek enthusiastic and innovative candidates whose expertise and interests in teaching will readily build connections between basic sciences and clinical practice. To complement our academic programs, we are especially seeking candidates with strength in program evaluation and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop curriculum in Pharmacy, Program Evaluation, and Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacy Education/Practice
  • Contribute to the development of innovative teaching methods and pedagogical inquiry
  • Collaborate with faculty members to coordinate large-size classes and experiential education
  • Develop and implement online methods and resources
  • Engage in administrative and organizational tasks to support the department
Requirements
  • PhD degree in Pharmacy, Data Sciences, Health Services, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of professional practice experience or teaching experience in a degree-granting program/post-secondary institution
  • Previous experience in program evaluation and artificial intelligence is an asset
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and mentoring skills
  • Commitment to equity and diversity in teaching and research
