Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structure Specialist to join our team at Skyservice.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, replacing and rebuilding aircraft structures of varying degrees of difficulty.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair and replace aircraft structures using hand tools, power tools and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment and drills;
- Apply technical expertise to conduct structural repairs and modifications, and solve moderate to complex problems;
- Read and interpret manufacturers' and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair or replacement;
- Perform damage assessment for engineering purposes;
- Work closely with the team leader to ensure that work is performed according to schedule;
- Ensure that work is performed according to quality standards, policies and procedures of Skyservice and applicable regulations (Transport Canada);
- Order parts and supplies;
- Apply technical knowledge of airframe components.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid Transport Canada S license is an asset;
- Five (5) years of experience as a sheet metal worker;
- Experience related to aircraft is an asset;
- A valid AVOP (D/A or D) and radio license;
- M license considered an asset;
- Knowledge of operating welding and brazing equipment is an asset;
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly to change and flexible work shifts;
- Detail-oriented and conscious of safety in any procedures;
- Good communications and interpersonal skills as the work requires working in a team environment.
Education
The successful candidate must have completed a Structure or Sheet Metal program or equivalent.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including:
