Job Title: Mechanic Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic Team Leader to join our team at Autobus Québec Métro 2000 Inc. in the Capitale-Nationale region. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of vehicles.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles to ensure fleet reliability and safety;
  • Diagnose, identify and repair various operational problems quickly and efficiently;
  • Determine and propose parts to be replaced to your manager;
  • Manage the bus fleet;
  • Welcome new recruits;
  • Evaluate personnel;
  • Manage staff leave;
  • Assign tasks to mechanics;
  • Follow-up on mechanics' tasks;
  • Follow up on work zone repairs;
  • Seek the best cost/quality ratio for repairs;
  • Analyze critical events;
  • Procure materials and manage parts.

Requirements:

  • DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics;
  • PEP card (mandatory);
  • At least 5 years' experience in heavy vehicle mechanics;
  • Valid Canadian work permit (mandatory).

  • Good attendance;
  • Good manual dexterity;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Good spatial perception;
  • Initiative;
  • Sense of responsibility and observation;
  • Leadership, professionalism, resourcefulness and responsibility;
  • Valid driver's license.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday;
  • Day shift.

Salary: Starting at $/hour, depending on experience.
