Research Coordinator Routinely Collected Data

The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is seeking a highly skilled Research Coordinator to support the documentation and descriptive examination of routinely collected data for research purposes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director, Epidemiology and Population Health Program, to review and summarize published literature, perform data examinations, and create educational/training materials.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain documentation of routinely collected data, including electronic medical records and administrative health data.
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings to inform research using routinely collected data.
- Collaborate with technical, research, and clinical staff to develop a better understanding of routinely collected data for research purposes.
- Compile information regarding the structure, validity, and quality of routinely collected data into manuals and presentations.
- Support research staff by reviewing study protocols and resultant abstracts/manuscripts that describe outputs from analyses of routinely collected data.
- Master's degree in Epidemiology or Population/Public Health supplemented by 1-2 years of recent related work experience.
- Effective skills in communication (written, oral) of technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience working with routinely collected data, particularly in British Columbia or other Canadian regions.
- Demonstrated understanding of key epidemiologic concepts and research concepts more broadly.
- Technical competency managing and analyzing health data with software such as SAS, R, SQL.
