Position Overview:

OPENLANE Winnipeg, a leading wholesale vehicle auction in Canada, is seeking a reliable Lot Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for auction or shipping, ensuring they are in working order, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicles for auction or shipping by searching, moving, and parking in allocated areas.
  • Ensure vehicles are in working order by driving a service vehicle and servicing breakdowns, boosting, attending to lockouts, snow removal, towing, supplying gas and air.
  • Provide friendly and courteous customer service.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by responding to and following proper company procedures involving accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to property.
  • Practice teamwork, set a good example, and promote a positive attitude and performance.
  • Set up cars in the lanes for sale day and ensure all vehicles are ready as needed.
  • Record all vehicle movements according to company requirements.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Have own transportation as public transportation is not available.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive standard vehicles.
  • Must be willing to work in various weather conditions; winter gear is provided.
  • Must not have a motor vehicle record or criminal record that does not meet the company's minimum standards.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all role-related tasks.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must have good customer service skills.
  • Well-organized, accurate worker with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to safely drive all makes and models of vehicles.
  • Clear criminal record.
