About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our innovative Canadian Corporate Tax team, Intelligent Delivery and Innovation (iDi). As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Partners on tax compliance and provision initiatives, driving business growth and delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagements and engagement teams in servicing the compliance needs of clients
  • Review working paper files, tax provisions, and income tax returns for corporate clients prepared by junior staff
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers and Partners across tax and other functions to develop a holistic business approach for client service and achieve strategic firm goals
  • Provide training, ongoing support, and mentoring to staff and offshoring teams for professional development
  • Offer technical and process feedback to technology professionals to inform the development of tax tools for tax compliance and provision busy season
Requirements
  • Minimum of 45 years specializing in Canadian income tax in a public accounting firm or industry setting or corporate income tax in a different country/jurisdiction
  • Professional Accounting Designation and preferably completed or nearly completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course or graduated from the MTax program
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism in the performance of duties and ability to manage large volumes of tax compliance engagements and its related stakeholders
  • Able to instill enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results, an excellent people manager, project manager, and great organizational skills
