Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our Corporate Tax team, you will play a vital role in shaping our tax planning and compliance strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Tax Return Process: Oversee the preparation of tax returns, calculations, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain Records and Schedules: Ensure proper maintenance of records and working paper schedules to support tax returns and asset calculations.
- Develop and Guide Team: Provide guidance and support to tax analysts to enhance their skills and promote team cohesion.
- Interface with Tax Auditors: Coordinate with tax auditors and government agencies to address queries and disputes, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with External Firms: Work with external tax, accounting, and legal firms to support tax processes and provide expert advice.
- Provide Tax Advice: Offer tax guidance to staff and senior management on a needs basis, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Prepare Tax Projections: Develop and maintain taxable income projections and tax cash flows for entities.
- Special Projects: Undertake special projects and assignments as required, demonstrating adaptability and expertise.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a complex Canadian corporate tax environment, with exposure to real estate an asset.
- Skills: Strong tax and financial accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently.
