Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anesthesia Assistant to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to Anesthesiologists and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical duties related to anesthesia, including testing, preparing, and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Assist Anesthesiologists with the induction, maintenance, and recovery phases of anesthesia.
- Work collaboratively with the anesthesia team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in anesthesia care.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate Anesthesia Assistant diploma program.
- Current certified clinical anesthesia assistant (CCAA) certification.
- Registered or associate member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapy (CSRT).
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Anesthesia Society (CAS) and the BC Society of Anesthesia Assistants (BCSAA).
- Current certificates in CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
