About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Perfect Daycare Ltd. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our daycare centre and contributing to the development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Support: Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Collaborate with early childhood educators or supervisors to maintain accurate records of children's progress.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in various activities, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, to foster their creativity and curiosity.
  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Observations and Progress: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors and participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Planning and Organization: Assist in planning and organizing activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Demonstrate attention to detail and possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the role.
  • Personal Suitability: Exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
