We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our bakery team as a Commis Boulangerie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department and providing an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and stock merchandise, including bread, pastries, and other bakery products, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and package bakery products, including decorating and labeling, according to department standards.
  • Update price labels and signage as needed to ensure accurate pricing and promotions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the sales floor and storage areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and autonomy.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods, with frequent bending and reaching.
