Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

Join Esso Mount Elgin Convenience as a Retail Store Supervisor and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and assign tasks to sales workers to ensure that all areas of the store are covered and that customers receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Order Merchandise: Place orders for merchandise and supplies to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to a wide range of products.
  • Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service and sell merchandise to customers, ensuring that they are satisfied with their purchases.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help the store manager make informed decisions.
  • Resolve Issues: Resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other problems that may impact the smooth operation of the store.
  • Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
  • Supervise Workers: Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage Cash: Manage cash and other financial transactions, ensuring that all sales and transactions are accurately recorded and that the store's financial records are up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral communication, team player, and ability to multitask.
