Job Title: Speech Pathologist

Job Summary:

Lakeridge Health is seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, treating, and managing swallowing disorders, communication disorders, and language-based cognitive disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat adult neurogenic clients with swallowing and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional ability
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies and interpret results
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Minimum 1 year experience assessing and treating adult neurogenic clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
