Job Title: Community Pharmacist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Community Pharmacist to join our team at Healthteam Holdings.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services in a community or retail pharmacy setting. This includes advising customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medication, checking prescriptions for proper dosage, and compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products.

As a Community Pharmacist, you will also be responsible for maintaining medication profiles, managing storage and distribution of medicinal products, and supervising and coordinating the activities of other staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise customers on non-prescription medication selection and use
  • Check prescriptions for proper dosage and accuracy
  • Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products
  • Maintain medication profiles and registry of poisons and narcotics
  • Manage storage, packaging, and distribution of medicinal products
  • Supervise and coordinate staff activities
Requirements
  • Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route
  • Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be working in a team-oriented setting and must be able to work under pressure and manage a large workload.
