About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Healthteam Holdings as a Community Health Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services in a community pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide expert advice to customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medication, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.
  • Prescription Management: Check prescriptions for proper dosage and ensure accurate medication profiles are maintained for customers.
  • Product Management: Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to customers.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the storage, packaging, and distribution of medicinal products, ensuring efficient and safe handling practices are followed.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is an asset.
  • Certifications: Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route, Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification, and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Work Environment: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
