Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  • Collaborate and interact with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge.
  • Maintain and provide proof of active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, and provide education and support to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program.
  • One year full-time clinical nursing experience as an LPN within the last three years.
  • Certification in IV Therapy; IV Medication Administration.
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients, and delegate care appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegated care.
  • Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands, and adapt quickly to changing situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, and to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
