Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Shared Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing professional nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing services to patients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Monitor and report patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program.
  • One year full-time clinical nursing experience as an LPN within the last three years.
  • Certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration.
  • Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
