Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Paragon Accounting and Financial Services Inc. This is a permanent full-time position requiring 35-40 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform fixed asset calculations and depreciation tasks with attention to detail.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Manage general ledgers and financial statements to ensure data integrity.
  • Post journal entries accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
  • Prepare tax returns with precision and attention to deadlines.
  • Conduct trial balance of books to ensure accuracy.
  • Reconcile accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • No prior experience required.
Work Environment:

This position involves working in an office setting with access to computerized accounting systems. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $30,000 - $40,000 per year, based on industry standards for similar positions in the region.
