Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifeguard/Instructor to join our team at Brandon's Community Sportsplex. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing instruction and supervision to participants in various pool programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and supervision to participants in pool programs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Perform lifeguarding duties, including monitoring pool areas and responding to emergencies.
  • Conduct water safety presentations and demonstrations to promote water safety awareness.
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of pool facilities, including cleaning and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement pool programs and events.

Requirements

  • Standard (Intermediate) First Aid and CPR Level C certificate.
  • Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard award.
  • Swim for Life and/or Lifesaving Instructor certification.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Swim for Life and/or Lifesaving Trainer certification.
  • National Lifeguard Instructor/Examiner certification.
  • Lifesaving Society or Red Cross First Aid Instructor certificate.
