Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized security services to clients in a professional manner, ensuring the safety and security of persons and property.
  • Patrol airport properties to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
  • Operate a marked company mobile vehicle to respond to security incidents and emergencies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required, ensuring the well-being of individuals on airport premises.
  • Escort and monitor contractors and trades in secure areas of the airport and airfield, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Verify the validity of temporary passes for contractors working in assigned areas.
  • Respond to emergency situations, taking prompt and effective action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of individuals and property.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada, with a valid Social Insurance Number.
  • Transport Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain a Class 5 or Class 7 driver's license.
  • Valid Security Worker Licence with Security Guard Designation, and a valid BC Security Licence.

Education and Certification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Valid certifications, including a Class 5 Drivers License and a BC Security Licence.
