About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Academic Leader to join our team as Dean of the School of Media and Information Technology. As a senior member of the academic leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our institution.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the school, aligning with the institution's overall vision and goals.
  • Lead the development of curriculum and academic programs, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.
  • Mentor and support faculty members, providing guidance on teaching, research, and service activities.
  • Cultivate partnerships with industry stakeholders, fostering collaborative relationships that benefit students and the institution.
  • Champion initiatives that integrate academic learning with practical skills development, preparing students for success in their chosen careers.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A graduate degree in a relevant field, with a doctorate considered an asset.
  • Recent experience in a senior leadership role within a complex organization, preferably in an academic institution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and external partners.
  • A strong knowledge of academic and administrative leadership, with the ability to navigate complex institutional policies and procedures.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing others, with a commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.


Salary and Benefits


The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
